Executive and governance change has continued at Vista Outdoor ahead of their split into two separate public companies. According to an SEC filing yesterday, another board member has announced their departure.
Frances Philip gave notice to Vista Outdoor that she won’t seek re-election this year. She’ll continue her service until the 2023 Annual Meeting.
It’s the second board departure in as many months, with the Vice Chairman announcing his retirement last month.
Prior to being on the Vista Outdoor board, Frances Philip was the Chief Merchandising Officer for L.L. Bean. She also held roles at a variety of retailers, including Williams-Sonoma and The Gap.
Despite the turnover, Vista Outdoor did announce recently they’re still scheduled to split this year as planned. They haven’t announced though who will lead their Outdoor Products company after the split.
They’ve identified that Jason Vanderbrink will lead their Sporting Products company. Chris Metz, the former CEO of Vista Outdoor was going to lead the Outdoor Products company prior to his departure.
