Smokey Woods BBQ Lands Nationwide Distribution Through Ace Hardware

Smokey Woods BBQ is a start-up in Wisconsin that produces BBQ wood products. They offer everything from sticks through chips, chunks and pellets in a variety of species.

It was started when owner, Derek Taylor, noticed that despite rubs and sauces being plentiful, there was a market opportunity for a small company in the premium wood products space. He worked with an investment group to acquire the assets of a local producer in May 2022 that was focused on white labeling for other brands.
