Royal Oak Closing Branson, Missouri Charcoal Plant

Royal Oak charcoal has announced that they’re closing their Branson, MO charcoal plant at 50 Royal Oak Road in early 2023. There are around 50 workers currently at the plant that will be impacted by the closing.

According to a statement to KY3, Royal Oak will work with the impacted employees to relocate them to one of their other locations in Missouri. Royal Oak recently completed construction on their Salem, MO charcoal factory that’s one of the largest in the world.

Now the largest producer of natural lump charcoal, they’ve had roots in Missouri since their founding. Their company was founded in Bradleyville, MO in 1953 by the Keeter family.
