Outdoor Kitchen Highlights from KBIS 2025

For expos in the outdoor cooking industry most people thing of the HPBExpo and NHS. In the past few years, a couple more big expos are featuring outdoor cooking products. We’re seeing more tech focused products at CES and more outdoor kitchens at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS).

This year KBIS kept that trend going with more brands moving their kitchen products outdoors. These aren’t run of the mill outdoor kitchens either, true to what’s showcased at KBIS for the kitchen, these are all high end with plenty of style.

SMEG Electric Grill

SMEG is launching an full updated large appliance collection and, as part of that, they’re releasing a line of built-in electric grills. The Built-In Electric BBQ Grill can be used for outdoor or indoor applications.

It’s an exciting time for the brand, as we’re currently at the start of a multi-year rollout of our updated large appliance portfolio. The new appliances have been designed to meet the needs and discerning taste of the North American consumer; delivering enhanced features to elevate convenience and performance, an expansion of colors and sizes, plus the introduction into new categories for the brand. This year’s product rollout is the culmination of years of development, and we couldn’t be prouder to finally present these as part of our overall plan for the U.S. market.

The new grill is made from stainless steel and is available in 24″, 36″, and 48″. All sizes offer multiple zones for cooking different food a once at different temperatures.

The 24″ model has cooking grates, while the 36″ and 48″ models have two grill sections and a griddle. The grill is new for 2025, but a firm date and price haven’t been announced yet.

True Caliber

Another high end brand with a loyal following is True Residential. They’re probably most known for their refrigerators, but they’re entering the grill market through a joint venture with Caliber.

The first grill of the strategic partnership is the Rockwell Social Grill, which was envisioned by designer David Rockwell. With its hideaway lid design, it lets allows you to grill without blocking your guests.

The Rockwell Social Grill will be available four sizes, 36″, 42″, 48″, and a massive 60″ freestanding model. It’s a grill that gives options too, it can run on propane or natural gas, and it can be used with grates or as a griddle.

The grill options continue with its aesthetics. It will be available in a stainless finish or a variety of 13 colors and 6 hardware options. You can also personalize it with their custom color match process.
