Orka developed a new meat thermometer that has the functionality of many devices in one. It’s an instant read meat thermometer, has a wireless probe for monitoring cooks, a wired probe when that’s more convenient, and an infrared thermometer.
The new thermometer is called Temp°it, and it basically covers all the bases for temperature reading while cooking. The body of the thermometer has some additional features too that could make it a favorite for grilling.
Right now ORKA is running a Kickstarter on the new thermometer to launch the product. It’s already reached its fundraising goals, but you can still get in on early promotional pricing.

Included Light
One of the nicest features on the Temp°it is also the most basic. In addition to all the temperature readings it can do, it has a light on the end of it. That’s a big convenience for grilling all year, but especially in the winter months.
Temperature Range
The Temp°it is an innovative product that makes cooking easier in many different ways. One thing I wish it did slightly better is have a higher range on the infrared thermometer. With a max of 752 degrees F it means it’s a little short of being effective for pizza oven. Most people aren’t going to run into that problem, but it’s worth pointing out.
