ORKA Launches Temp°it, the First 4-in-1 Thermometer

Orka developed a new meat thermometer that has the functionality of many devices in one. It’s an instant read meat thermometer, has a wireless probe for monitoring cooks, a wired probe when that’s more convenient, and an infrared thermometer.

The new thermometer is called Temp°it, and it basically covers all the bases for temperature reading while cooking. The body of the thermometer has some additional features too that could make it a favorite for grilling.

Right now ORKA is running a Kickstarter on the new thermometer to launch the product. It’s already reached its fundraising goals, but you can still get in on early promotional pricing.

Features and Specs

  • Retail price of $249
  • USB-C rechargeable
  • Will run off a charge for 4 hours with all functions on, or 24 hours under normal use
  • IP44 rating, which means it’s water resistant
  • Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity
  • Temperature range by device
    • Instant read thermometer: -22 degrees F to 572 degrees F
    • Infrared: -40 degrees F to 752 degrees F
    • Wired: -22 degrees F to 572 degrees F
    • Wireless: 32 degrees F to 212 degrees F, with an operating temp up to 1,000 degrees F for grilling

Included Light

One of the nicest features on the Temp°it is also the most basic. In addition to all the temperature readings it can do, it has a light on the end of it. That’s a big convenience for grilling all year, but especially in the winter months.

Temperature Range

The Temp°it is an innovative product that makes cooking easier in many different ways. One thing I wish it did slightly better is have a higher range on the infrared thermometer. With a max of 752 degrees F it means it’s a little short of being effective for pizza oven. Most people aren’t going to run into that problem, but it’s worth pointing out.
