New Traeger Woodridge Pellet Grill Leaks Online – First Look

We’ve previously speculated about what the new Traeger Woodridge grill will be. We got some strong evidence this week, and I think our predictions turned out to be correct.

Listings for the Woodridge have been online for a little bit now with dead links or no details, but now Scheel’s has a full product page and even says you can buy them now. There’s also a new YouTube video that popped up of the assembly process of the new grill at a Home Depot location. Watching it tells you a great deal about what the new grill is all about.

You can see it’s the same design as all the latest Traeger models like the Timberline and the Ironwood. It’s not mentioned it the video, but I feel like it’s a pretty safe assumption that it will be replacing the current Pro Series.

Features and Specs

  • Retail price of $799 – there may be Pro and Elite models coming too
  • 860 square inches of cooking area split between 520 on the main rack and 340 on the top rack
  • Temperature range of 180 – 500 degrees F
  • Compatible with MEATER Bluetooth wireless meat thermometers

The Woodridge follows the good, better (Ironwood), best (Timberline) strategy that Traeger has used for their grills. The Woodridge get’s all the latest hardware goodies, but it doesn’t have Super Smoke or four casters, just like the previous Pro models.

In the video and the product listing, you can see that it has their Pop-And-Lock accessory rail system which allows you to easily build on the grill. It also has the EZ-Clean Grease & Ash Keg, which is another welcome addition to make cleaning the grill a simple process.

The new grill ditches the traditional barrel shape for more of a traditional grill style, just like it’s more expensive brethren. This gives easier access to the food that you’re cooking.

We’ll see when it’s officially released, but if Home Depot is building floor models and Scheel’s has it for pickup, it should be as soon a next week. It should be shipping immediately instead of just a launch without any availability.
