Infrared Burners
When people say they want an infrared burner, what they mean is a high-heat infrared burner, usually made of ceramic. They have the ability to reach temperatures much greater than traditional gas tube burners. In the Denali Pro, the ceramic burner in the cook chamber gets to 900 degrees F. This lets you do things like get an exceptional sear on a steak.
The 605 Pro has two ceramic infrared burners. One is in the cook chamber of the grill, and the other is a side burner. Beyond searing with the ceramic burner in the cook chamber, it also sits below the swappable cooking grate system. This is especially helpful for heating the pizza stone hot enough to compete with a pizza oven.
Quick Heat-Up
With the Denali 605 Pro there’s not much heat-up time, so you can get to cooking quickly. It will 450 degrees F in just 5 minutes, or all the way up to 700 degrees F in 10 minutes. Most food is cooked at around 450 degrees or under, so it gets there quick.
Hybrid Cooking Grate
As mentioned above, there is a section of the main cooking grate that can be swapped out for other cooking accessories. This enables you to perform different styles of cooking without needing different grills. The different grate options include a traditional grate, a hash pattern grate, a reversible griddle, and a pizza stove.
Accessories
A bummer when buying most grills is you just get the grill. By the time you buy a cover and some accessories the price really racks up. That’s not the case with the Denali Pro.
It comes with all of the accessories you need to use it out of the box. That includes a cover, a rotisserie, extra spit forks, and two temperature probes. That adds to the value of the price of the grill.
