Jason Kelce announced his retirement from the NFL earlier this year after playing for 13 years, all with the Eagles. With no camp to attend this summer, he’s partnered with Kingsford charcoal for a summer of grilling.
Now that I have more free time, I’m excited to move into this next chapter with Kingsford. My Dad taught me how to grill using Kingsford, and I have memories of getting the coals white and hot to make his famous wings. There’s nothing like it – taking your time with family and friends around the coals and slowing down the process to really bring in that delicious, smoky flavor.

Learning to grill with Kingsford briquettes is a memory for so many young people. I know I started the same way with in the backyard with a Weber Kettle.
We Got Some Canes Over Here
He’s not alone in his transition to grill life. To help him adjust is fellow NFL retiree and member of the legendary 2001 Miami Hurricanes, Vince Wilfork. Vince also partnered with Kingsford when he announced his retirement back in 2017.
For those who are used to being the best at everything they do, they know that to be the best, you have to work with the best, and that’s why we grill with Kingsford. Whether a first-time charcoal user or the neighborhood’s grilling All Star, Kingsford has everything you’ll need to become a barbecue legend.
Like I said, ‘No more cleats, I’m moving on to smoked meats.’ And now Jason’s getting in on the tasty fun.
Vince Wilfork
To kick off the new partnership, Jason and Vince star together in a new ad from Kingsford. It’s the first in what will be a series through the summer for the brand. There’s also a dedicated page with recipes.
There will be more to come with Jason Kelce, Vince Wilford, and Kingford on Kingsford’s social media channels throughout the summer.
