An electric grill is a great option for people with disabilities that might otherwise prohibit them from grilling. With electricity as a fuel source, there’s no propane tank or heavy bag of charcoal to deal with.
Electric grill maker Kenyon knows this and took their Texan electric grill to the next level by adding an enhancement to make it even more accessible. They added a new handle, which transforms the useability of the grill.
We manufacture quality grills and cooktops that meet the specific needs of our customers whether it be for their indoor or outdoor cooking spaces. The addition of the new ADA accessible handle for the Built-In Texan Grill to our line of products expands our offerings for customers with disabilities and confirms our dedication to create quality kitchen products that enhances the cooking experience for all.

The handle has a grab point below 48 inches and it takes less than five pounds of force to operate. That eliminates a major difficulty with operating a grill.
Beyond the new feature, the grill itself is designed well for ease of operation. It’s made from marine grade 304 stainless steel with a waterproof touch control panel, so it can stay out in the elements.
It also has an automatic shut-off after 60 or 90 minutes, depending on the grill’s heat settings. Since it’s electric, it has minimal smoke and has a no flare-up design.
Electric grills have come a long way in recent years, so it still offers a good grilling experience. The grill will reach 550 degrees F in approximately seven minutes.
Clean-up is also easy on the grill, which is important for an accessible design. The cooking grates are dishwasher safe.
