The Home Depot released the winners of their annual Innovation Award today. The Starlink Standard Kit won the award, but one BBQ product did receive an honorable mention.
Scrub Daddy’s BBQ Daddy grill cleaning brush was noted for the benefits it brings to Home Depot customers. It’s not mentioned by Home Depot, but the BBQ Daddy is also far superior at cleaning a grill than a Starlink which just melts and smears. That makes the BBQ Daddy clearly a better product under our criteria.

The BBQ Daddy ditches the usual bristle design of a grill brush for a foam brush with a stainless steel fiber woven mesh. It also has a stainless steel scraper on the back side and a comfortable handle for leverage.
To use the brush, it’s recommended to have ice cold water nearby. When the foam brush is dunked in water it gets harder and releases steam when it hits the grill. This removes food bits better than just scrubbing with a dry brush.
Scrub Daddy is a company that focuses on cleaning products of all types. They rose to fame in 2012 when they were featured on the TV show Shark Tank.
They successfully received an investment on the show from Lori Greiner. The exposure launched their growth and saw them dramatically increase distribution into many mainstream retailers.
