Pit Barrel Cookers came out with a new brand of barrel style cookers. Called the Badger Barrel, it’s smaller than the classic Pit Barrel Cooker and is priced at $249. It has a sleek look and a great logo design. It also has no-nonsense brand messaging to match that of the viral honey badger video.
Earnings season kicked off this week with Camp Chef parent Vista Outdoor. In their call they confirmed that they are in fact making the new line of Cabela’s branded pellet grills, which we speculated about previously.
Next week is when we’ll get to the meat of earnings. Traeger, Solo Brands, and Middleby all report next week on their performance through June. It will be interesting to see who was able to overcome the headwinds of the extreme heat and wildfire smoke in addition to the economy for the quarter.
Solo Stove is in the record books for the Most People Making S’mores Simultaneously. Their Guinness World Record was set last weekend in their hometown of Grapevine, TX at a cool event that they hosted.
For s’more making indoors, Solo Stove acquired TerraFlame earlier this year. It was announced that they are partnering with Purple Orange Digital Communications to oversee all media communications for the brand. Now, every brand under the Solo Brands umbrellas works with Purple Orange.

Finally, we reviewed the Masterbuilt Gravity Series charcoal smoker. There’s no getting around that it has a cheap build, but at least the price matches. It’s easy to like it though, it works just like a pellet grill but with more smoke flavor.
