Backyard Discovery Releases Large Ready-to-Assemble Outdoor Kitchen

Backyard Discovery knows their audience, DIYers that want an outdoor kitchen. They just released the Fusion Fire, a ready-to-assemble outdoor kitchen that’s rich on features, while carrying a DIY price tag.

We saw high demand for our premium, all-in-one Fusion Flame kitchen this past year and are excited to introduce our Fusion Fire that showcases even more amazing features including marble counters, bar height seating, a pizza oven and even more storage space. We really tried to think of everything to offer our customers a kitchen that is not only functional and beautiful, but feels custom built, without the custom-built price tag.

Features and Specs

Backyard Discovery nailed the key features that people a looking for when designing their outdoor kitchen. It starts with the materials and layout.

Starting with cooking, it has a large pizza oven and a gas grill, both made of 304 stainless steel. The gas grill is a five-burner with a sear zone and a built-in rotisserie. It can run off propane, or natural gas.

The cabinets are all galvanized steel for durability, and the countertop is marble for a nice finished look. They’re arranged in a U-shape to give plenty of storage and counter space.

To finish it off there’s a refrigerator, a stink and a roll-out trash can. It’s a complete setup for an outdoor kitchen.

With assembly being handled by the buyer, the price is $14,999 (check price), but it’s on-sale right now for $9,999. That’s much cheaper than what it would cost if you priced out a similar build.

Assembly

This outdoor kitchen isn’t for consumers that are afraid of putting together furniture from Ikea. The kitchen gets shipped in 14 different boxes.

Assembly will take a friend, and some frosty beverages, because the boxes range in weight from 30 lbs up to a hefty 571 lbs. Steel is heavy after all, and this kitchen has a lot of it.

To make assembly easier, this outdoor kitchen works with the BILT app. This gives 3D interactive instructions, which takes out the guess work.

Brand and Quality

We’ve never tested an outdoor kitchen from Backyard Discovery, but are familiar with the brand for their gazebos and playsets. They ventured into outdoor kitchens last fall with the smaller Fusion Flame outdoor kitchen and they have a new Santa Maria style grill.

The Fusion Flame has high reviews across multiple retailers, so that gives some confidence to this outdoor kitchen. It also carries a 5-year warranty on all parts, appliances, and structure.

They note that the outdoor kitchen is tested against extreme elements. It’s able to withstand 100 mph winds and 30″ of snow accumulation. That’s an important detail for any outdoor kitchen.

Conclusion

The Fusion Fire outdoor kitchen certainly isn’t for everyone. For the budget conscious person that’s handy though, it’s easy to see why they’d like this setup.
