Academy Sports + Outdoors store count and geography continues to grow. The Texas founded retailer that had 268 stores across 18 states in Q3 last year, is adding another store in Indiana. Opening in spring this year, the new Lafayette location will be the the fourth store in Indiana.

The new store opening is a continuation of their their growth strategy. They have a goal of opening 80 to 100 new stores by the end of 2026.
The Lafayette location is will be over 60,000 square feet. It’s estimated to bring 60 new jobs to the community, according to a press release.
