The Good Charcoal Company announced today that Sam’s Club is carrying its charcoal nationwide. The addition of Sam’s Club adds over 550 locations to the distribution network that already includes Home Depot stores. The Good Charcoal company has experienced rapid growth, since it’s founding in 2020.
The Good Charcoal Company is made from Acacia wood and is free of chemicals and additives. Using Acacia helps with encroachment problems from Acacia bush in Namibia, so using Acacia is environmentally beneficial. Acacia is also denser than traditional wood used for charcoal, such as oak and hickory. This creates a hotter, cleaner, more even and longer lasting fire when grilling. It’s also the only charcoal brand in the US approved by a leading environmental preservationist organization, the Forest Stewardship Council.
We are thrilled to expand our in-store retail footprint by introducing The Good Charcoal to over 550 Sam’s Clubs locations and provide access to a better charcoal option for consumers across the United States. Consumers are demanding cleaner and more sustainable products. To meet this demand, we are committed to changing the charcoal industry for the better with products that are free of chemicals or additives, sustainably sourced and made of premium quality.
Ben Jablonski, Chief Executive Officer of The Good Charcoal Company
The grilling industry has been expanding in recent years, which has translated into downstream demand for grilling fuel. In addition to new market entrants, like The Good Charcoal Company, companies like Royal Oak Charcoal, Pit Boss and Camp Chef have expanded their fuel production capacity to meet future demand.
