We’re tracking where grill companies are deploying marketing dollars. From “official grill of …” to television sweepstakes, below are the latest partnerships in the outdoor cooking industry.

Pit Boss Partners with the Green Bay Packers

There have been two partnerships from Pit Boss we’ve seen. It appears that being acquired hasn’t slowed down their marketing efforts.

The first is with the Green Bay Packers, where they’re the Official Grill, Smoker and Griddle of the Packers. It’s a good partnership with a team known for tailgating.

We’re excited to kick off our new partnership with Pit Boss Grills. Lambeau Field is famous for its legendary tailgating and Packers fans fire up their grills even on the coldest of days in Green Bay. We look forward to Pit Boss elevating gamedays with fun recipes and unique experiential opportunities that bring fans even closer to the Packers.

As part of the partnership, the Packers and Pit Boss have launched The Pit Boss Packers Winter Tailgate Sweepstakes. The prize is four game tickets to the December 3rd game against the Chiefs for the Festival Foods MVP Deck, two hotel rooms, two parking passes, a tailgate experience hosted by the Pit Boss Chef at Lambeau Field, an Aaron Jones-autographed jersey and helmet, and a Packers-branded Pit Boss grill and accessory package.

We’re blessed and excited to enter this partnership and cement our title as the Official Grill of the Green Bay Packers. It’s a natural fit, as Packers fans are known for showing up without shying away from the cold weather, and the same is true of our grills. We aim to take the gameday experience up a notch for fans and help create lasting memories around the grill.

Pit Boss Sponsors NASCAR Truck Series Driver

Not only did Pit Boss partner with an NFL team, they also sponsored a NASCAR Truck Series driver. They were prominently featured on Hailie Deegan’s No. 13 ThorSport Racing Ford F-150 at the Phoenix Raceway race on November 3rd.

We feel blessed to partner with Hailie Deegan and the entire No. 13 team. Not only is she one of the most popular drivers in the world, but Hailie is also an inspiration in the motorsports industry and a great role model. We’re excited about this partnership, which aligns perfectly with our company’s values and our standing as the Official Grill of NASCAR.

Traeger on ESPN College GameDay

Traeger has continued to strengthen their partnership with The Home Depot, who also partners with ESPN for College GameDay. It was through this relationship that Traeger was prominently featured on College GameDay when they were in SLC when the Utah Utes matched up with the Oregon Ducks.

Breeo and the Steelers

Much like the Pit Boss partnership with the Packers, US made fire pit company Breeo partnered with the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’re hosting tailgates on Art Rooney Avenue prior to home games on October 8, December 3, December 7 and December 23.

We are incredibly honored to partner with the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team with a rich history and a passionate fanbase. Breeo’s hard-working mindset and deep manufacturing heritage coupled with the appreciation of a great tailgate and, of course, Pennsylvania-made, makes this partnership with the Steelers organization a perfect match.

Brian Koons, chief marketing officer at Breeo

It’s a great match, because Breeo fire pits are made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and they’re known for using heavy-duty, American steel.

We are thrilled to welcome Breeo, a national brand with deep roots here in Pennsylvania, to the Steelers Family. This multi-year partnership will provide Breeo with unique opportunities to showcase their products to Steelers Nation, like seen in the ‘Breeo Hot Seat’ video with our players. Our fans will even have the opportunity to win some of Breeo’s products with a sweepstakes later this year.

Recteq Partners with Let’s Make a Deal

Grill company recteq, that’s dedicated to pellets even for griddles, partnered with the CBS show Let’s Make a Deal on a sweepstakes. The game show is giving away a recteq Bullseye on their Instagram.

What’s a little funny about the product image on their Instagram, is they have a stack of full log splits on a shelf under the grill. The recteq Bullseye, of course, is a pellet grill, so it can’t use fire wood.
