BBQGuys has driven explosive growth over the past few years and if their warehouse space is any indicator, that pace hasn’t slowed down. They now have more than 170,000 square feet of warehouse space at GXO Direct facilities in San Bernardino, CA and Mechanicsburg, PA, according to a press release from GXO. That represents over 300% growth since August 2021.
We’ve been working with BBQGuys for nearly a year, providing innovative, flexible warehousing solutions that support its rapid growth as America’s favorite grill e-retailer. With GXO Direct, our shared-space distribution network, we can position BBQGuys’ inventories closer to major population centers on the east and west coasts, helping the company reach its consumers efficiently and cost-effectively with the flexibility necessary to adapt quickly to changing demand.

The GXO Direct warehouse space is in addition to BBQGuys’ Baton Rouge, LA headquarters which is 110,000 square feet broken up into 3 warehouses, a sales and support center, a showroom, an outdoor kitchen design service and online operations staff.
Partnering with GXO is beneficial for BBQGuys’ business because the warehouses are shared spaces. Outdoor cooking and living retail is a very seasonal business and a logistics partner allows them to flex the workforce based on demand. It’s also helpful for disruptions like when Hurricane Ida hit Baton Rouge. GXO was able to pick up the entire volume for the East Coast from the closed Baton Rouge facility.
According to an SEC filing last year, BBQGuys plans to grow to over $500 million in revenue in 2023 from $254 million in 2020. With a business like theirs, warehouse space and logistics is crucial for that kind of growth.
