Kamado Joe brough technology to the Kamado cooker world when they launched their Konnected Joe grill in 2023. It had similar technology to a pellet grill (or the Masterbuilt Gravity Series) where you can set the temperature on the grill, and the controller would hold it by adjusting airflow from a fan. It also offered connectivity to a phone app for a easy to use experience.
Much like Masterbuilt (a Kamado Joe sister company) released a bigger Gravity Series grill this year, Kamado Joe has brought their connected technology to a larger grill. Today they released the Big Joe Konnected Joe. For those keeping track at home, that makes it the Kamado Joe Big Joe Konnected Joe, which is pretty heavy on the Joes.
It’s works just like the original Konnected Joe (which is 18″), but in the larger 24″ diameter frame of the Big Joe. The rest of the features are the same between the two sizes.

Automatic Fire Starter
Beyond the automatic temperature control and being able to use your phone to control your cook, another nice innovation i the Automatic Fire Starter. This lets you pile in you charcoal, and then ignite it with a push of a button. That makes it easier to get going, and then you’re not messing with charcoal chimneys or tumbleweed starters.
