If you’re looking for an eye-catching grill this spring, you might want to head to Lowe’s. They appear to be planning to release a full line of Stealth Edition Weber grills. They have an all-black version of the new Spirit gas grill, Genesis gas grill, and a flat black Weber kettle charcoal grill.
We were first tipped off to the new line through an article in Gear Patrol about the matte black kettle, but upon looking through the product images for the kettle, there’s a whole line of Stealth Edition grills. Only the kettle has a product page right now, but it should be a pretty safe bet that all will be released.
Weber previously made Stealth Edition versions of their SmokeFire pellet grill and their portable Traveler grill. This is the first time I’m aware of that the Kettle, Spirit, and Genesis grills have come in Stealth cladding.
The kettle charcoal grill is really cool looking with its matte finish. It’s a 22” kettle and retails for $199 (check price), but it’s not available for purchase yet. You might want to jump on it when it becomes available, because it might sell quickly.
The only downside is that it’s not a Master-Touch kettle, which is much more convenient with the easy ash cleaning system. That might be a deal breaker for some, and I’m not sure why they went with the lower version of the kettle.
It’s hard to tell from the photos if the gas grills are flat black or just have an all-black finish. The Spirit is their new model that just came out, and it appears to be an E-325. That model comes equipped with two Boost Burners for extra searing power, and the new ignition system.
The Weber Genesis model in the picture looks like the E-330, which was refreshed in spring of 2022. It’s one of the nicer Genesis models and has a sear burner for getting those great grill marks.
