Napoleon just launched new Prestige Series and Rogue Series gas grills for 2025. They all offer upgraded features that add to the grilling experience, with the quality build that you’d expect from Napoleon.
The model that is really eye-catching to me is the new Napoleon Phantom Prestige 500 Connected RSIB. The name is a mouthful, but it’s warranted for grill that has some really cool features. It retails for $2,399 (check price), and even at that price point, it’s a lot of grill for the money.
Cast Stainless Steel Cooking Grates
Starting with the coolest feature, the Phantom Prestige 500 has cooking grates that are made from cast stainless steel. They take the heat retention that people like from cast iron mixed with the durable, low maintenance properties of stainless steel.
Like that first ray of sunshine on a crisp morning in early summer, these cooking grates are beautiful. You just don’t see cast stainless steel much on factory grills. Although these aren’t new for 2025, these are a real differentiator for this grill.
Connected Grilling
New for 2025 on the Phantom Prestige 500 and some of the other Prestige Series models is connected grilling. There’s an LCD display with ports for temperature probes on one of the side shelves. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and WiFi, so you can monitor your cook from anywhere.
For quick, high heat grilling, you probably won’t need tons of temperature monitoring, but you can do some smoking with this grill too. Napoleon sells a charcoal tray and a smoker box for the grill to add some versatility.
Larger Side and Rotisserie Burners
Napoleon was an early adopter of infrared burners. These super high heat burners give you that steakhouse quality sear, and are a real differentiator for their grills.
For this year’s Phantom Prestige 500, there are larger infrared burners. There is a side burner for that sear, and also a rotisserie infrared burner.
The rotisserie burner is another differentiator for Napoleon. It’s a burner that’s specifically shaped and positioned for cooking on a rotisserie. That style of cooking is great for making juicy meat, but also infrared technology keeps in moisture from how it cooks.
