It’s been almost three years since the Napoleon Rogue EQ 365 was announced. In fairness to Napoleon though, that was the height of the grill buying craze, so many projects across the industry were delayed.
I wasn’t sure if the grill was ever going to be released, but it appears that it will be in 2025. Napoleon is following a trend that we saw last year, and is bringing the Rogue EQ 365 to the Consumer Electronics Expo (CES) in Las Vegas from January 7th – 10th. In fact, it is a CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree.
Being recognized as a CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honouree for our Rogue EQ 365 Connected Electric Grill underscores our dedication to transforming the grilling experience through advanced technology and outstanding performance. We’re excited to make sustainable, high-quality outdoor grilling accessible to all and honoured to be at the forefront of delivering the next generation of innovation to our customers.

Overview
The Rogue EQ 365 is the latest electric connected grill to be released. It has a visually stunning 7″ touchscreen that sets it apart from other grills on the market. In addition to the touchscreen it still has knobs, which I’m a fan of for easier control.
The grill connects to the Napoleon phone app with WiFi and Bluetooth where you can control the grill. It also has two temperature probes to always be able to keep an eye on your cook.
With 365 square inches of cooking are, there are two cooking zones for the ability to cook more food at once. Unlike other electric grills on the market, the cooking grates are cast iron, for a traditional cooking experience.
220v Power
One feature of the grill that is either a pro or con, depending how you look at it, is that it runs off 220v – 240v power. That gives it extra power to work with for a better grilling experience, but it also means it doesn’t run off a traditional outlet.
To use the Rogue EQ, you’ll have to have an electrician wire an outlet for it. We’ve seen that with other electric grills, but they’re usually built-in style, so it would be more common to already have custom work being done. This may make the grill much less mainstream.
Once the grill is installed though, it should see faster heat-up times than other electric grills. It also has a max temperature of 750 degrees F, which is better than many gas grills.
Cooking Modes
The Rogue EQ has different cooking modes with different cooking experiences. For grilling, you can set the “burners” to a number setting like you would on a gas grill.
In oven mode, you set a temperature and it keeps it, just like an electric oven. The cooking mode that is different than other electric grills is it has a smoke mode.
There is a smoker box that sits under the cooking grates on the right side, directly on the Calrod heating elements. A smoke level can be set on the controller, which correlates to how hot the heating elements on the right side get.
Then you can set a temperature on the left zone for how hot you want to cook your food. It’s a great idea that they built this feature into the grill to add to its versatility.
We found this video of the Rogue EQ that demonstrates its features. What’s interesting is it’s on the Wolf Steel Technical channel (same with the one above), not the main Napoleon channel. Wolf Steel is the parent company of Napoleon.
We’re guessing this video was put out for technicians in anticipation the launch. If you go to 4:31 in the video, you can see a demonstration of the Smoke cooking mode.
Coming Soon
It seems extremely likely that we’ll see the Napoleon Rogue EQ 365 be released in the near future. Napoleon wouldn’t be bringing it to CES next year otherwise, and they wouldn’t have videos about it (albeit kind of hidden). They haven’t made any official announcements about it yet and the website for the grill still says “Coming Soon”, so stay tuned for updates.
